Pop Surrealism Artist

I am a Wellington-based New Zealand artist who is known for my use of vintage and pop surrealism imagery and my deep love of animals.

My latest work is a combination of hand and digital collage based on my passion for pop art and old horror movies. I have thoroughly enjoyed my recent transition from painting to collage, as it has taught me a lot about composition and balance.

I have taken my passion for pop art and creepy iconic settings, space, and the underlying creepiness of vintage kewpie dolls and composed them in that way that conveys my dark humour.

My latest series of paintings and drawings are inspired by the beauty and fragility of deer. I have chosen to paint/draw them in their natural environment and depicted them in an ethereal/otherworldly manner, thus showing their fragility and how we need to look after the planet more.

My other work is mainly Inspired by kawaii 1950s Japanese figurines and ornaments and using the soft 1950s-inspired palette that I have always loved.
